I've installed Just Basic. The account I logged in is "Remote Desktop User". When I change the preferences in Setup in main window, I will get an error, "Can't write .ini file". If I'm logged in as "administrator", there is no error. Is there a way to save the settings when I'm logged in not as administrator? Thank you.

Download and install Just BASIC as the USER you are. It will install to program files(x86) but also put the rest of the support files in you USER directory where you have permission to save files.

The 1st time I installed and run, it is OK. after that when I run, I will get this error when I change preferences (justbasic.ini): Unable to write justbasic2.ini file. This can happen when running Just BASIC from a CDROM. Other causes include restoring from a CDROM or other backup, which can cause all restored files to become write-only, or improper installation of Just BASIC.
when I installed, I have to "elevate" access rights by using a local admin account. and the files (tutorial) went into that account - "C:\Users\localadmin\AppData\Roaming\Just Basic v2.0". I copied this folder to "C:\Users\myuserID\AppData\Roaming\". When I now run Just Basic, I don't see that error. [case closed]
