Then things start talking to you, it could be a bad sign. At least in X-Files::Blood x-files.fandom.com/wiki/Blood(but again, pretty much everithing was a bad sign on X-Files ;) ) *carefully puts this on table* It's a clock. Watch it tick. 'occasionally talking clock s$="yRT›yILGSVI›RH›DZGXSRMT›BLF" msg$="" for i = 1 to len(s$) c$=mid$(s$,i,1) a=asc(c$) cc$=chr$(asc("A")+asc("z")-a) msg$=msg$+cc$ next msg$=msg$+space$(6)
timer 300, [tick] scan p = 1 [tick] locate 1, 1 print "Talking clock" 'but you'd rather it doesn't if rnd(0)<1/10 then print " ";mid$(msg$,p,2);":";mid$(msg$,p+2,2);":";mid$(msg$,p+4,2) p=p+1 if p > len(msg$)-6 then p=1 else print " ";time$() end if titlebar time$() wait
(really it should be menacing red neon glow like in series, ah well)

eh... maybe you understand the random letters it showed. Maybe saying the time with digits spelled out would be more... something. Oh how 'bout some ELIZA quotes: "What is your problem?", "We are talking about you not me." LOL
