Hello, good afternoon, I am trying to align columns by adding spaces with "courier new". When I save to a file it is well aligned. But in a texteditor, it doesn't want to align, why ? And if I reload the aligned file in the texteditor, it gets misaligned !!!!

did you set font "courier new" to the textbox?
Also I think there is something that TAB gets expanded to 4 spaces.

It is not in textbox, but in texteditor. I have tried several fonts and the "courier new". What is weird is that when i put in file, it is well aligned. And if I reload the properly aligned file in the texteditor, it gets misaligned. I also tried adding "chr$(32)", and it's the same. I also tried all in lower case, and it's the same. (tab() it's only valid in print statment)

If it is not aligning then you don’t have the font statement correct. Are you using the underline the help file mentions.

And the spelling. If anything is not right Just BASIC defaults to the default font and makes no changes.

Ah yes yes, "!font courrier new 12 bold" is bad "!font courier_new 12 bold" is good, véry good Thank you Rod If I had known I would have come before, I spent a good three hours for search why it wasn't working.
