wishing J B 's helpfile were easier to use

I wish the Just BASIC helpfile were easier to use. I am reviving a little bit of skills in JB and am using the currently provided helpfile, but the ones available in the past were easier to use. One could try a search and see more example code, in the earlier ones. The helpfile we have now for JB v2 appears to be like a website with hyperlinks. Still having the current helpfile is useful; but simply is not feel so flexible to find things as in the previous forms of the helpfile.

There are alternatives. Alyce spent some time creating a search engine.

Well, that's Microsoft fault
They found original HELP format insecure and deprecated it
How we have what we have - bunch of HTML pages.

There were attempts to write help search engines for JB, in JB
last two I found are

Just put them in folder of their own - they likely to copy lot's of JB files there.
You will NOT LIKE it if that would spill in your Documents or God forbid Desktop.

Something in CHM type file should be possible and some were available in the past. I may be able to find one of them if I look through my old computer.
