... or maybe including scrolling in any included program code when placed inside the code tags. Maybe not so necessary. Member could simply highlight a few lines at top, and press the Shift key to highlight downward. I just believe the code tagging and Copy Code link should work be available both on forum and in PM.

I sent Carl a program in PM with close to 3000 lines a while ago.
And it was too big for the clipboard to handle too.
He may be still trying to copy it.

The private message system is for ……. private messages. Normal code should be shared on the forum. Code properly posted scrolls in its code box. Very large .bas files and any resource files are better shared as a .zip on a hosted system with only the link posted.
This forum is not free, supporters fund it but bandwidth and storage are of necessity limited.

I guess sharing emails could be a less expensive way to do that. It would be a good idea to post that info in the "Guidelines and Rules of Participation" section. Curious - What IS the cost of running this forum each year? |
