It looks then JB executes font size command, it silently drops "-" (minus sign). So "font Arial 10" and "font Arial -10" works the same. And if you press "make font smaller" but it gets indeed bigger, it might mean you are already over zero. (btw "font Arial 0" restores some default size, looks like Arial 12 on my current machine) nomainwin WindowHeight=400
open "negative font size" for graphics_nsb_nf as #gr #gr "home; down; posxy cx cy" #gr "trapclose [quit]"
#gr "place 10 20" for Fontsize = 14 to -14 step -1 #gr "font Arial ";Fontsize #gr "\";"font Arial ";Fontsize next
#gr "flush" wait
[quit] timer 0 close #gr end

Microsoft was worried that if they let the font get too small it would create a black hole, and suck in ALL the code. I noticed this the first time I made a font resizing button. I had to play with it and determine it's limits, both ways. If you keep increasing the size, it seems to go on forever. I must have clicked the + close to a hundred times and it still kept increasing a little bit. I didn't want to go TOO big though, in case it drew the moon closer

Well, you can limit it programmatically from below - where's last readable size? On my setup it is 7, but I have font smoothing off.
As for increasing, there is no reason to increase font if you can not read it - text becomes too big for buttons very fast (may be changing button fonts was not so good idea).
