Hi,
I gave it a try... in VC++ 6.0 and it immediately worked.
I saw two screens with the latest screen the website of Microsoft. Wow , if can embed it in Justbasic ...will be cool.
So, i first started with to make a console application of it...but that worked not good out... too much errors...
So , I tried the code with GUI (with some tricks) and then it worked....(at least a bit)
It resulted in : browser.exe (See the attachment...)
Put browser.exe in the same directory where your .bas file is.
Here my .bas file : UpperLeftX = 20 UpperLeftY = 20 WindowWidth = 820 WindowHeight = 820
nomainwin
button #scr.b1, "Click for test", [b1], UL, 40, 300,200,60
open "scherm" for window as #scr print #scr, "trapclose [quit]" ''print #scr, "fill black;flush;"
wait
[b1] result = mkdir( "C:/website") open "C:/website/web.html" for output as #tf
print #tf,"<a href=http://justbasiccom.proboards.com>http://justbasiccom.proboards.com</a>" close #tf RUN "browser scherm"
wait
[quit] close #scr end
Call browser.exe with:
RUN "browser scherm"
scherm is the name of the window ,the program i made searches for the name and gets a handle(HWND).
The program makes also a directory: C:\\website\\ In the directory it writes web.html In the program (browser.exe utility) the location C:\\website\\web.html is given up... so if you not have a C:\ drive letter, then it will not work for you...
So in general it works a bit... Till so far, and good luck if you make your own! (This is a Nightly build can be bugs in it ,etc)
Regards,
code
