I have downloaded Just Basic v.2 and cannot locate the error file - the file that was named in the previous version of JB "error.text." I'm running Windows 10, which I'm not overly familiar with. Can you please help? Thanks.

It is named "error.log" and if you just normally installed JB2, then there is a lowest line under Run menu saying "2) Error log".
(on my computer, it is in C:\Users\my_user_name\AppData\Roaming\Jus tBasic v2.0)

From File Explorer, you might have to type in \AppData and then maybe \Roaming because Windows 10 will not be nice about displaying these folders like the ones in Desktop or Documents... Once you are in, I suggest you make a Shortcut to the error.log file for the Desktop (if that is where you normally work). The file extension is .log not .text. Oh shoot, I did not know that or forgot! In my JB, it is item number 3) under the Run menu. My Item 2) says it is "Roaming Shortcut" but errors when I click it. BTW all the sample programs are there too.

I used this path in the Explorer: This PC -> Windows-SSD (C:) -> Program Files (x86) -> Just BASIC v2.0. What I saw were two folders - "jb2help" and "jbtutorial" - and beneath were 16 files, none of them named "error." When I searched my entire C:, I got in return tons of files, and sure enough, I missed what I was looking for. Now I have that critter on my Desktop as a shortcut, the way you suggested it. Thanks again both of you.

If you put your .bas file in a directory, and run it by assigning JustBasic as the default file handler, and double clicking on the file, error.log should appear in the same folder as the .bas file.

You could always try a search in Windows for "error.log".
I found exactly the kind of path that tsh73 said. C:\\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Just BASIC v2.0
