Hi again all!
The Breeders Records program is working fine but a listbox with 16 selectable rows is slightly untidy, and I don't know how it could be fixed.
Each row is used for a string derived from:
a certain number of characters from the start of a longer string for a cock bird, loaded from a data file of cock birds,
plus a character 'x' (inserted like this between them to indicate that the cock is a members of a pair)
plus a certain number of characters from the start of a longer string for a corresponding hen bird, (plus five relevant characters at the end), also loaded from a separate data files.
e.g. Upon opening the data file with a text editor these appear rows appear with the 'x's, and the (five characters at the end) as well, in vertical alignment, as intended to mark off the cocks on the left and the hens on the right, with a tidy reference column at the right.
However, when the program displays these rows the 'x's (and the five characters at the end) go out of alignment, as I think will show up below:-
27C_3613.16* black saddle speck bi x 27H_3614.16 BB badge/saddle, hatch [2727
07C_4903.15*** BB bge (carrying RR x 03H_11290.14*** Black beard wtf, f [0703

I guess the degree of misalignment may depend upon the number of spaces, rather than characters, in the text which precedes the 'x', and the (five characters at the end) but wonder if there is a facility for correcting this in JustBasic already,
or whether just to try counting the spaces within the program, and then to try adding some more, or less, of them before the 'x', and also before the (five characters at the end)?
